About Carolina Gas Transmission

Who We Are
Carolina Gas Transmission Corporation (CGT) is an interstate natural gas transportation company that delivers natural gas to wholesale and direct industrial customers throughout South Carolina. Our operations and rates are subject to Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) regulation.

We provide open access, unbundled, firm and interruptible transportation services and interruptible parking and lending service for interstate gas markets. Because we sell our "pipeline capacity" rather than natural gas itself, we enable large-volume natural gas users to manage their own purchasing strategies.

Background
CGT was formed through the 2006 merger of two of SCANA Corporation's wholly owned subsidiaries: SCG Pipeline and South Carolina Pipeline Corporation.

South Carolina Pipeline was an intrastate pipeline company that purchased, transported and sold natural gas to distribution companies, municipalities and industrial customers through an extensive pipeline system in South Carolina. SCG Pipeline was an interstate pipeline that transported natural gas in Georgia and South Carolina.

Combining the strengths and resources of these two companies, CGT today transports reliable natural gas throughout the growing southeast region of the United States.
